Having your catalog on Facebook is very useful: it allows you to use your products in dynamic ads, and to use our category-specific and product-specific audiences. In other words, a catalog lets you pinpoint your offerings to the viewers' interests. 🤩
Step 1. Go into the Catalog Manager
Choose 'Catalog Manager' from the options on the Facebook Business sidebar
Or click here
Step 2. Click on 'Create Catalog'
Step 3. Choose the settings
You can create your catalog type: eCommerce, Travel, Property, or Auto. Select the type that applies most to you and click 'Next'.
At this stage, you can choose to either upload your product info, or connect an eCommerce platform: Shopify, WooCommerce, or others. If you are using any of these platforms, use the integration to connect your catalog; if not, choose 'Upload Product Info' and continue following the steps.
Choose the relevant option for you and click 'Create'.
Step 4. Add Products
On the sidebar, choose 'Items' and then 'Add Items'.
You will have three options to choose from:
Add Manually: if you only have a few products which you don't update very often, this is the simplest way to add items to your catalog.
Bulk Upload: if you have more than fifty products, this option will allow you to upload them to your pixel using a spreadsheet or file.
Use a pixel: If you have more than fifty products that change hourly or daily, choose this option, that will update your products in real-time using your pixel information.
Make sure that all your products are added.
That's it! 🎉
Step 5. Make sure to set permissions
Make sure that your ad account has permissions for the catalog you have just created. You can enter the 'Assets' menu and click 'Add Assets' to link your catalog to your business ad account.
Then you can be sure that you can use your catalog on Madgicx as well. 🤩
Once you've gone through the above steps, make sure to re-authenticate through the settings panel on Madgicx.
After this setup, your catalog should be up and running. Catalogs allow you to show your audience items that are new, or it can give people insight into what you have available.
